On Friday, February 21, in Stanišić, within the project ” Empowering women on labor and small business development market“, a free workshop on the use of machines in vegetable production and processing was held. In the greenhouse of the social enterprise Sombor’ Good garden, the participants had the opportunity to be trained for the use of tables for seedlings, and then for the use of a professional dryer. In the afternoon, a theoretical lecture was organized, which further supported the practical part, also covered other topics related to food production and processing.
The workshop was attended by women from Stanišić, Bački Monoštor, Kljajićevo, Svetozar Miletić, and the lecturer was food technologist Dr. Mile Veljović, a representative of the Serbian Food Technology Council.
The project is implemented by the B92 Fund, and is supported by the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and Empowerment of Women in Serbia (UN Women) within the project “Support to Priority Actions for Gender Equality in Serbia ” funded by the European Union.
