Competitions for cooperatives and micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) in the fruit and vegetable processing sector

Association of FOOD AND TECHNOLOGICAL COUNCIL OF SERBIA within the framework of the project “FROM SOME TO AWESOME – Knowledge strengthening of food producers through“ in situ ”know-how transfer”, implemented in cooperation with USAID project for competitive economy, announces:

Competition for cooperatives and micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) in the fruit and vegetable processing sector

The main objective of the project is to increase the competitiveness of fruit and vegetable processors (cooperatives and MSMEs) from underdeveloped regions of Serbia through the development of high quality (premium) new and innovative products and / or technological processes or improvement of existing products and processes.

Project activities will focus on:

vertical networking of cooperatives and MSMEs with other relevant companies (suppliers of raw materials and other materials, manufacturers, retail chains and distributors, etc.),
development and improvement of products and processes,
introduction of a zero waste production model (production with full use of raw materials, without waste),
increasing production efficiency and
familiarization with the applicable legislation in the field of food production.

Selected beneficiaries will be provided with support in the form of group and individual theoretical and practical trainings, mentoring support, educational materials and promotional activities.

Selection of the beneficiaries of the program will be made by an expert commission made up of experts from different fields of food production.

The competition is open until December 31, 2019.
